• Access：Take the airplane from Maputo to Nampula. After arriving in Nampula, you may choose to take "Chapa" (mini-ban) to Mozambique Island or run the risk of hitchhiking. In case you rent a car in the Nampula Airport, it is advised to mention the destination, since the bridge of the length of 3,750m to the Island is very narrow and difficult to pass through for some models of 4WD. In order to avoid a survival situation, it is convenient for an individual tourist to reserve a pack tour in Maputo (about 500 USD).

• Cultural Tradition "Musiro"：You will see women walking in the streets painted white on their faces. This is a traditional custom in this area called "musiro". It is said that this represented some religious codes before, but nowadays women paint their faces white for cosmetic reason or sun proof.
