Conferences of Honorary Counselors from Embassies


International Artists Center, since its establishment as International Dance Institute, has been engaged in cultural exchange activities jointly with foreign diplomatic missions in Japan. Cultural attaches are appointed by respective ambassadors as Honorary Counselors for I.A.C., always to keep in close contact for collaboration.

Whenever necessity arises to hear opinions of each nation on I.A.C.'s proceedings and discuss any problems or make decisions, a Conference of Honorary Counselors for I.A.C. is held. So far, this conference has been held three times.

Also, upon request by several Honorary Counselors, ''Seminars on Japanese traditional arts'' were held for cultural attaches, and contributed to the understanding of those in a position to handle cultural exchanges on the Japanese culture.
